Please join us June 6th 2008, 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. for a very special evening.

“The Art of Giving.”

First, we will be honoring Joan Burleson, Notable glass artist and our very first recipient of the “Art of Giving” award.” Joan, has been with us since our beginning…..a long, long time ago. March 7th 2008. Throughout this time she has shared her art, knowledge and encouragement. Now, true to form, she has donated a beautiful piece “The Giving Hands” to our vision. Both her and the glasswork are the embodiment of BlueStone’s mission, thank you.

We must also thank, Bill McDonald, Anna Johanson, Tim Herbst, Brian Purcell, Chadzilla, Rebel Photo, Sajit Green & Satchels Market, without them BlueStone Gallery would be just, bluestone…a dream. Thank you for sharing your gifts with us.

Serendipity Design, Peter Pike, Lisa Stead, Lance Peterson, Jenny Bouchet, Ron Stead, Tom Stead, Mindy Stead, Karrie McBride & Reena Carter. None of your gifts and contributions went unnoticed. Together your gifts have given breath to Bluestone, and in turn will touch every artist, student, and visitor that comes through the doors. Without you BlueStone would not be able to welcome guest artists;

Josh & John Burd. Once you meet this family you will know why this is the month chosen as “The Art of Giving.”

We are asking (but certainly not requiring) that each person bring a gift (a compliment, a hug, socks) anything!! The item does not matter. It is the act that we are honoring. At one or more points during the evening we will ask if anyone has anything to give—at that point you may or may not randomly select someone to receive. This is BlueStone’s way of thanking and honoring the Artists of BlueStone for sharing their gifts and talents with a random audience. Again, please participate at your own risk as opinion suggests it may be addicting. (My opinion.)

Thank you for reading the entire contents of this page. The test has been postponed until our next event! Susan Pike.
